Micromomys vossae

MORPHOLOGY:
Micromomys vossae had a body mass of around 7 grams (Fleagle, 1999). Micromomys, like all micromomyids, had molars that resemble many microsyopids, an upper central incisor similar to plesiadapids and carpolestids, and a large posterior lower premolar (Fleagle, 1999).
RANGE:
Micromomys vossae was found in North America during the late Paleocene to early Eocene epochs (Fleagle, 1999).
DIET:
Based upon dental morphology, this species was probably an insectivore (Fleagle, 1999).
